I decided it was time for us to have a blog. This will definitely not be a daily blog. Some posts will be about a particular wine, or what we’re currently working on, or about some of the things we do here. They’ll be written by me, Sunny, but I may get some ideas from Marshall, Karen, or Ellen. Who knows?!
For this first one, I wanted to write about our brunch that we serve every Sunday, 8:30-1:30. We’ve been doing this brunch for roughly 8 years now and the only thing we’ve changed is to add alternatives. We’ve been told our brunch is a lot of food. You begin with 5 different types of sliced fresh fruit served with our special, yummy, mystery dip. Our cinnamon and sugar fried dough is irresistible and is always gobbled up. We do like to serve locally made maple syrup with our French Toast and maple bacon course. The syrup is so local it’s from just down the street! The fourth course is the largest serving. We’ll serve you scrambled eggs with cheese, delicious homemade hash browns, and Marshall’s special recipe of sausage gravy over sweet bread rolls. The sausage, by the way, is from just down the street as well. Marshall learned this recipe from his father who was a cook on a Navy ship. If you’ve made some New Year’s resolutions and want to eat healthier or just less food, we do have some alternatives. For instance, you can order just French Toast and Bacon (our bacon is really, really, good), or just scrambled eggs. We want everyone to be happy. Speaking of happy, we also serve Mimosa’s! In the fall we like to mix it up with apple cider and champagne. During the holidays we’ll serve the champagne with cranberry juice. Of course, orange juice and champagne is always available.
One more thing. We do require reservations because we only serve this once a week. We’d love to see you here! Call us at 603.267.8251
